After defeating the Goths, General Titus Andronicus
returns to Rome as a hero. Titus has returned with
captives including the Gothic Queen Tamora, her
three sons, Alarbus, Demetrius and Chiron and her
lover Aaron, a Moor. General Titus lost many sons
during the war and Lucius, one of his surviving
sons, suggests a human sacrifice to pay them homage.
Tamora's eldest son Alarbus is sacrificed. Saturninus
is crowned Emperor, frees Tamora and her sons and
makes Tamora his Empress. Tamora seeks revenge for
the death of Alarbus and her sons rape and mutilate
Lavinia, daughter of Titus. Tamora has Aaron's baby,
which she wants killed, but Aaron escapes with it.
Lucius leads his army of of Goths to Rome. In revenge
for his daughters rape Titus kills Demetrius and
Chiron, then serves them in a pie to Saturninus
and Tamora. Titus kills Lavinia to end her suffering
and then kills Tamora. Saturninus kills Titus and
Lucius kills Saturninus. Lucius becomes Emperor
and kills Aaron.
