Richard plots to get the English throne. He fabricates
treason charges against his brother George, Duke
of Clarence and has him murdered in prison. After
his other brother King Edward IV dies, Richard becomes
regent until Edward's sons are of age. Richard locks
Edward's sons in the Tower of London, claiming it
is for their safety and then declares the princes
are illegitimate and have no right to the throne.
Richard becomes King and arranges for the two Princes
to be murdered. The Earl of Richmond raises an army
in France which marches against Richard's forces.
The night before battle, Richard is haunted by those
he has murdered who foretell his doom. At Bosworth
field the armies meet in battle and Richmond kills
Richard, ending the War of the Roses. Richmond is
crowned King Henry VII, becoming the first of the
Tudor Kings.
