King Henry's advisor Cardinal Wolsey arrests the
Duke of Buckingham, falsely accused of treason.
In spite of Queen Katherine's call for mercy, Buckingham
is executed. King Henry seeks advice from Wolsey
on how to replace Queen Katherine with her lady
in waiting Anne. Many grow to hate Wolsey, due to
Buckingham's death and the prospect of Henry's divorce.
King Henry turns against Wolsey, divorces Katherine
and marries Anne. Henry and Anne have a daughter
Elizabeth, for whom a noble reign is foretold.
