Hal, the son of Henry IV, is running wild with his
friends. Welsh leader Own Glendower has defeated
the King's army and an English rebellion starts
against the King. The King persuades his son Hal
to help him raise an army against the rebels. Hal
challenges a rebel leader to single combat, the
outcome deciding who will rule. King Henry agrees
to this, but the offer does not reach the rebel
leader. A battle follows in which the rebels are
defeated. More rebels begin to surface in Henry
IV, Part II.
