In verona Proteus and Julia love each other, whilst
in Milan Valentine and Silvia love each other. Proteus
travels to Milan where he falls in love with Silvia
and has Valentine banished. Disguised, Julia also
travels to Milan where she finds Proteus pursuing
Silvia. Silvia searches for Valentine, pursued by
Proteus, who is followed by Julia. Eventually Silvia
and Valentine are restored to each other and Julia
and Proteus are brought back together.
