Sir John Falstaff has fallen out of favour with
his old friend Prince Hal, now crowned Henry V.
Justice Shallow and his nephew Slender, complain
to Parson Evans about the wrong doing of Falstaff,
which he denies. Worried that he is running out
of money, Falstaff tells Pistol and Nym of his plan
to sleep with and then steal money from the wealthy
wives of two Windsor gentlemen named Ford and Page.
Nym and Pistol refuse to help Falstaff and instead
tell the women's husbands of Falstaff's plan. Mrs
Page and Mrs Ford receive letters from Falstaff
and realizing they are identical plot their revenge.
Falstaff's plans are repeatedly thwarted, as Mrs
Page and Mrs Ford play tricks on him. Falstaff is
eventually confronted by the wives and their husbands.
